This fall, Lead Locally is getting out the vote in VA to strengthen the state legislature’s slim Democratic majority and take back the Governor’s mansion. Volunteer with us!

What: We will be door-to-door canvassing each day for approximately 4-8 hours. On weekdays, we welcome people who need to work for part of the day but can do a canvassing shift after 4PM.

Where: Key districts where we can flip state legislative seats. These districts are currently in the following regions: Middleburg/Purcellville (HD 30), Spotsylvania (HD 66), and Petersburg (HD 82).

When: You can come any time from Saturday, October 25 – Tuesday, Nov 4. Join for one day or the whole time!

Housing/Travel: Lead Locally is committed to covering the costs of housing and travel for all those that need financial support to volunteer with us. We are working with each campaign to provide volunteer housing, and we can cover transit costs from most locations in the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and Northeast of the US. After you sign up, someone from Lead Locally will be in touch to discuss housing and travel needs.

Why Virginia: As the first purple state to hold major elections since November 2024, Virginia will be a litmus test for the Trump administration’s agenda. This is a critical opportunity to beat MAGA Republicans at the ballot box and show the rising opposition to Trump’s authoritarian agenda.
